First National Conference of Community Voice on Planning

We have received this mail from Community Voice on Planning and would like to encourage people to take up the opportunity to attend this conference at the Queen’s Hotel in Leeds. There is a small charge of £5 to cover the cost of the light lunch but otherwise it is a free event. There will be attendance from a cross-party group of MPs and it is an opportunity to voice your views on the way in which the planning system works to the people who help to make the legislation.

We are delighted to be able to invite you to the first National Conference of Community Voice on Planning. Please find attached invitation with details as well as a reply slip and programme. We are fortunate that we have a number of guest speakers as well as presentations from some of our trustees. We have confirmation that a cross party group of MPs will be attending and there will be a plenary session where we can address issues surrounding the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).

The theme of the conference is that the NPPF is not working- either for communities or the country. We will be producing a report from the meeting to present to the planning Minister to make sure that the Government gets the messages that arise from the discussions.  We are determined to use this opportunity to state the case further for significant changes to the planning system.

There are a limited number of places so to secure  tickets please contact the organiser, Cheryl Tyler, before the closing date in September. We hope to see representatives from as many affiliates as possible and look forward to meeting you there.

 Kind regards,

Community Voice on Planning
